Wellness Telecom has been selected as one of the 18 innovative entities that represent the local business sector.
22 December, Seville – His Majesty the King Felipe VI of Spain will participate in the closing of the II Global Forum of Local Governments that takes place in Seville from January 24 to 26 and that will be officially sponsored, among other companies, by Wellness Telecom, pioneer in the field of Smart Cities and Smart Territories.
The II Global Forum of Local Governments will address three main topics of interest for municipalities: Smart Cities, Tourism, the construction of inclusive cities and Sustainability, in line with commitments to the Sustainable Development Goals.
Specifically, Wellness Telecom sponsors the “SAFE CITY” table, about security in Smart Cities, which has become a critical aspect of cities, especially when tourism is an important economic activity. In fact, David García Ternero, CEO of this company and one of most influential leaders in the sector, will be one of the speakers who will explain the threats and challenges that will be faced by the cities of the future and how Artificial Intelligence and sensoring are providing the possibility of reaching higher levels of security and protection.
During the Forum, an innovation hub will be launched, an exclusive exhibition area where Wellness Telecom will take part and in which the most innovative projects that have generated job growth and economic progress in Seville and its metropolitan area, in fields such as renewable energy, aeronautics, health or smart cities, will be presented. For this purpose, 18 companies, institutions and corporations from different productive sectors have been selected, among which are: the Joint Research Center of the European Union or Cartuja Scientific and Technological Park, as well as private companies such as Wellness Telecom.
Moreover, speakers and representatives of local governments from Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia, France, the Dominican Republic, Chile, Peru, Dubai, Portugal, Ecuador, the United States, Costa Rica and Denmark, among others, will meet at the Forum. The meeting will also have the special participation of UCLG (United Cities and Local Governments), as well as representation of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), the FEMP (Federación Española de Municipios y Provincias), the UNWTO (World Tourism Organization) and the United Nations (UN).
In the II Global Forum of Local Governments other topics will be discussed, such as: education, social integration, innovation applied to employment and the responsibility of companies with the collaboration of public and private entities.
